Swan CERAMIC COMPOSITE ROTORS
Conquest Customs and Swan Metal Composites have teamed up to design and create the Apex Ceramic Composite Rotor specifically for the Victory Motorcycle. Exclusively available through Conquest Customs, these are the best streetable rotors available on the market today. Apex Ceramic Composite Rotors are about 1/3 the weight of a stock rotor and feature a forged aluminum carrier. The reduction in unsprung weight results in less rotating mass and improved handling. There is no material transfer from brake pad to friction ring resulting in improved stopping power and NO BRAKE DUST. Rotor buttons are 30% larger to reduce rotor deflection. Ceramic Composite Rotors have a lifespan approximately five times longer than a stock or stainless steel rotor, will never rust and are available in many different color combinations. Easily rebuildable and carries a lifetime guarantee.

A vast amount of science and technology goes into producing our Apex Composite Rotors and Brake Pads. The following will attempt to describe, in layman terms, the materials and processes used to produce these world class, MOTO G.P. quality brake rotors, recently introduced to the Victory Motorcycle market segment.
METAL MATRIX COMPOSITE: A type of composite material with at least two constituent parts. One being a metal. The other material may be a different metal or another material such as a ceramic or organic compound. In our case aluminum alloy and ceramic particles are used. The MMC ingot is cast using the highly patented process developed by Swan Composite Inc. What is unique about the casting process, is that it allows for very tight control over the ceramic particle dispersal throughout the entire band width of the friction ring. In other words, the discs are functionally gradient. 50% of the ceramic by volume is concentrated at the outer most portion of the friction ring, where it will see the highest temperature, while only 15% of the ceramic by volume is concentrated at the inner most portion of the friction ring, where it will see lower temperature. This effectively balances the internal stresses caused by the difference in temperature between the inner and outer most portion of the friction ring.
**We do not claim to be able to change the laws of physics. However, through careful consideration of the application, available materials, and proven manufacturing processes, we claim to mitigate the negative effects of physics on a fast moving motorcycle.**
